What Is Manuscript Central?

Manuscript Central is an online platform developed by Thomson Reuters, designed to streamline the submission and peer review process for journal editorial offices.

To ensure smooth handling of your submission, be sure to follow these guidelines:

  • Your entire document, including references, should be double-spaced, using a 12-point or larger font, with at least one-inch margins.
  • Keep your abstract concise—200 words or fewer.
  • Include only essential footnotes and avoid endnotes.
  • Ensure that the manuscript does not contain any identifying information about the authors.
  • Clearly label any hypotheses in the text.
  • Use full words to describe constructs and variables, avoiding abbreviations.
  • If your manuscript uses previously published data, this should be acknowledged either in the text or in your cover letter to the editor. Any forthcoming or "in-press" articles using the same data should be sent to the editor.
  • Before submission, remove all identifying information from the file's metadata (such as Word document properties) to maintain author anonymity."

Manuscript Submission Process

To submit your manuscript via Manuscript Central, the first step is to select the journal where you want your paper to be published. For instance, if your target journal is the American Educational Research Journal, you would use the specific MC URL provided for that journal.
